Ministries

At Utica United Methodist Church, we’ve found that one of the best ways to serve the Lord is to serve others. So that’s what we do. We support and assist many different groups, individuals and causes. Some are close - such as the MCREST and Warming Center programs that house, clothe and feed the homeless for a week, right inside the church. Some are far - such as the missionaries spreading the Word of God in Africa.

Our Together In Missions (T.I.M.) programs are a way for us to serve our fellow man and our God at the same time. As long as there are people in need, we will have a need for people to do this most rewarding work.

     Some of our activities include:

Abigayle Ministries
American Red Cross Blood Drives
Baldwin Church and Center in Pontiac
Cass Corridor Church in Detroit
Habitat for Humanity
Macomb Food Bank
MCREST (shelter for homeless)
Meals for Millions
Missionary Support (Africa & Michigan's U.P.)
Senior Care Ministry
Turning Point Shelter for Abused Women and Children
Warming Center
Youth Work/Service Projects

WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

It's probably a gift from God. Women seem to have an easier time communicating with each other than men do. At Utica United Methodist Church, we have several ministries designed specifically for women to gather together to talk, to help, to edify and to encourage one another.

It doesn't matter if you are married or single, if you're a mother or a daughter, if you're young or .... younger, you are welcome to join the women of our church to get to know God and each other a little better.

Some of our women's activities include:

United Methodist Women
(monthly potluck and meeting, except summer)

Ladies' Circles: Dorcas, Faith and Harmony
(monthly meetings, except summer)

Senior Care Ministry

Ladies Night Out
(1st Friday monthly at various local restaurants)

MEN'S MINISTRIES

Sometimes men just need to hang out with other men-to eat, to talk about work, to worship God. At Utica United Methodist Church, we provide many opportunities for men to gather together and communicate with each other and with the Lord.

If you're looking for another father to talk to about fathering issues or another husband to talk to about marital issues, this is the place. If you want to meet some new friends in a relaxed, Christian setting, this is the place. Or, if you want to share the good word of Jesus Christ with other men, this is the place.

Some of our Men's activities include:

United Methodist Men
(last Sunday of month breakfast meeting)

Annual Golf Outing

Senior Care Ministry

Friend In Need

MCREST is a locally based social assistance program to help homeless men, women and families in our area as they attempt to re-establish productive lives.          >>more
