ENDOWMENT FUND
What is an
Endowment Fund ?
An Endowment Fund is a separate pool of
money where the principal is invested and only the income is
used.
What is the purpose ?
The Endowment Fund is created
and exists solely for the purposes of UUMC, with its
principal objectives being the promotion and
development of religious, charitable and educational
activities, and for other non-recurring purposes not
regularly budgeted by UUMC.
Why have an Endowment Fund ?
To allow stewardship to
go beyond the offering plate to help
fund:
This will enable UUMC to
fulfill the ministry dreams of our
Church Family for present and future
generations.
Where does the
money come from ?
The
Fund will receive and hold
all gifts made to the Church
from sources such as
bequests, gift annuities,
insurance policies, trusts,
other planned or deferred
arrangements, and other
undesignated cash gifts.
Who
will oversee it ?
5
member elected board
with fiduciary
responsibility for
the fund.
Standard 3 year term
with not more than
one term
expiring per year.
One member would
serve on the Church
Coordinating
Council.
