As Director of Christian Development at Utica UMC, I am able to ‘work’ at fulfilling my passion – to share our Lord Jesus Christ with everyone I can. From the smallest toddlers to high school students, young adults and beyond, there is something to share on every level with our next generations. There is nothing more beautiful than to witness the light that comes on in a child’s eyes when they begin to understand God’s love. There is nothing more uplifting than to hear a child pray from the heart. There is nothing more joyful than children’s voices raised in song. And the fun we have in the meantime! What a great way to stay young!
Personally, I have raised two children to young adulthood with my husband Dave and we have called Utica ‘home’ for a very long time. When asked a question, my reply is often, ‘Let’s just think about this for 30 seconds…” and off we go determining the best answer!
What a blessing to feel the Lord leading in both my professional and private life.
