Greetings from our Senior Pastor Greetings from our Senior Pastor

Please allow me to be the first to bid you welcome!  I appreciate your interest in our church and hope to greet you in person very soon.

I expect you are looking at this page to discover what the Utica UMC is about, and to aid you, I want to share with you our mission and our vision.
Our mission is: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our vision is: To reach and nurture our community with the love of Christ.
Both our mission and our vision are built on the passage of scripture known as the Great Commission.  In this passage (Matthew 28: 19-20) Jesus calls those who follow him to reach out to all of the world, bring them into the fellowship of the church, and nurture them in the faith, with the love he demonstrated.
We care about teaching people the depth of Christ's love for them, and provide opportunities for people of all ages to grow deeper in their faith through study and fellowship.  We care about our community, and believe our presence here as followers of Christ should make it a better place.
I hope you will come and join us for worship this coming Sunday! We have inspiring worship services, a variety of small groups to meet folks where they are and we are a loving and caring congregation.
Grace and Peace,
